This was so much fun to do. This was a Sublime Stitching pattern that I embroidered onto a flour sack kitchen towel. it turned out great! It looks much better in person. I added a bunch of my own detail like the flowers on the knife and the fishnets and the shading on the bottle and a couple other things. There are 2 pictures here one is a scan and one is a photo the colors and stitching don't look like real life. I love it when an embroidery project is finished. I feel so satisfied. Look for this gem to be for sale on Etsy soon! Click on the image for good detail!
I have been an artist my whole life. I have always loved sewing, collage, typography, embroidery and making things pretty. It led me going to college at Pratt Institute and and from there I worked every job imaginable till i found pre-press/graphic design where i am working currently. I hope to one day open up Brooklyn Craft the craft supply store in Brooklyn. A store that's like a craft fair every day. I love sailing and biking and this blog is all about what takes up most of my time, unless of course I am drinking at the bar.
